Boys Varsity Soccer · Season Preview: Boys Varsity Soccer

Coming off a successful 2017 campaign, the Warriors Men’s soccer team are facing high expectations this fall season.  The Warriors only graduated 4 seniors from a team that finished ranked #5 in the final state poll and reached the regional semi-finals before losing to the eventual state champions, Summit Country Day, 1-0.  With 10 returning seniors and 14 returning letter winners, this Warriors team brings a lot of experience to the table.

Senior Sam Reid said, “The team this year is really exciting because of our experience and our ability to play free. This team has the ability to play creatively and score lots of goals.”

Thursday night the team wrapped up their final pre-season scrimmage with an 8-0 win over West Carrollton.  The week prior the team tied Oakwood 0-0 and defeated Fairborn 8-0 in pre-season matches.  Senior Sam Reid has netted 5 goals and Senior Mikey Smith is right behind with 4 goals in the preseason.

2017 Miami Valley Player of the Year, Noah Alexander, has recorded 7 assists through the 3 scrimmages as well.  The goalkeeping duo of Senior Paul Socha and Junior Seth Culham have combined for 3 shutouts.
