Media Advisory: Dayton Christian School hires new head baseball coach
DAYTON, Ohio (October 29, 2018) – Dayton Christian School announces the hiring of Doug Adams as the school’s next varsity baseball coach.
Adams brings with him more than 15 years of baseball coaching experience. Adams was a member of Dayton Christian baseball staff in 2009 as head junior varsity/assistant varsity coach. He has most recently been the head coach and high school director of the Miamisburg Canes Baseball Club.
“We are incredibly excited to welcome Doug to our coaching staff, and are confident he has the skills and experience necessary to lead our competitive baseball program in the coming years,” said Ben Shroyer, athletic director at Dayton Christian. “After Coach Pavlak’s accident last spring, assistant coach Tim Bower did a phenomenal job filling in on an interim basis. We are thankful for the dedication former Coach Pavlak gave to our program and we continue to pray for his recovery.”
Adams inherits a varsity team that finished as district runner-up last spring and returns eight starters. “I’m humbled and honored to be able to represent this great school. The opportunity to return to Dayton Christian with the ability to help mold young athletes for the better, while maintaining my Christian values was an opportunity I could not be more excited for,” stated Adams. “I look forward to helping these young men grow both on and off the field going forward.”
DC baseball parents and students will have the chance to meet Coach Adams as well as the other baseball coaches at a meet and greet event this coming Thursday night, November 1 at 6 p.m. in the school’s Building A Auditorium.
