The boys varsity basketball team (2-6, 1-4) notched their second win of the season tonight vs. Middletown Christian, 63-48, in the BIG Gym at Centerville High School. The game was close at the half, 23-19, but the Warriors outscored the Eagles 19-11 in the third quarter to stretch their lead to twelve points. In the 4th, the Warriors scored 21 points to secure the win!

It was Youth Boys Basketball and Youth Cheerleading night as a nice home crowd witnessed Jon Welker lead the Warriors with 14 points, shooting 55% from the field, and 40% from the arc (2-5). Welker also added two steals with three assists. Devin Dreier followed with 12 points, three rebounds, and two steals. Sam DiMario pitched in 11 points, shooting 3-5 from beyond the arc.

The Warriors were 11-12 from the charity stripe (91%) and recorded 15 total team steals. Trevor Warren was exceptional on the glass with 10 total rebounds along with Seth Griswold securing seven boards and seven total assists.

The Warriors play next on Tuesday night, Jan. 8 at Yellow Springs. Game time is 7:30pm, following the Boys JH game at 5:00pm & the Boys JV game at 6:00pm.
