Although the weather conditions at the Bellbrook Golden Eagle Invitational last night were winter-like, the Warriors still brought the “heat” on the track.

The lady Warriors opened the track meet with a strong second place finish in the 4×800, 10:49.77 (senior Lauren Collins, senior Jenna Shupert, freshman Isabella Ferriman, senior Brianna Blake).
Junior Taylor Ullrich placed second in the high jump with a jump of 5-00.
Freshman Aurora Schubert placed first in the 100 hurdles with a time of 16.39.
Freshman Meela Seaquist finished in second place in the 100m dash with a time of 13.32.
Senior Aliisa James placed first in the 300 hurdles with a time of 50.37, first place in the long jump with a PR of 15-08, and a third-place finish in the 200 dash with a time of 27.69.
Senior Brianna Blake led the 800 pack with a strong first place finish and time of 2:31.56.
The lady Warriors 4×400 relay team closed the meet with a third-place finish, 4:33.26 (senior Lauren Collins, senior Jenna Shupert, freshman Katie Welker, senior Brianna Blake).

1. 4th place 100 hurdles, 17.29 (Aliisa James)
2. 4th place high jump, 4-10 (Aurora Schubert)
3. 5th place, 4×200 relay, 1:57.74 (Xi Holliday, Katie Welker, Alena Seaquist, Meela Seaquist)
4. 7th place, 1600 m run, 5:58.52 (Isabella Ferriman)
5. 5th place, 4×100 relay, 54.37 (Aurora Schubert, Xi Holliday, Alena Seaquist, Meela Seaquist)
6. 5th place, 300 hurdles, 55.83 (Evie Lloyd)
7. 5th place, 3200, 12:41.79 (Isabella Ferriman)

Shout outs to Bailey Peterson with a PR throw in the discus of 54-01, and Yamiyah Craver, with a PR and discus throw of 54-01.

Overall, the lady Warriors took home 3rd place out of 11 teams.

On the boys side, the Warriors opened the meet placing 5th in the 4×800 relay, 9:20.99 (junior Sam Hendricks, senior Nick Brown, senior Sam Reynolds, sophomore Micah Blake).
Junior Ty Powell finished fourth in the high jump with a jump of 5-08.
Senior Nathaniel Geiss finished in fourth place with a PR and throw of 40-05.50.

2. 6th place, 4×200 relay, 1:40.54 (Ty Powell, Wesley Taylor, Nathaniel Geiss, Luke Alexander)

5. 7th place, 300 hurdles, 45.95 (Ethan Orme)
6. 8th place, 800, 2:18.57 (Nick Brown)
7. 6th place, 200 dash, 24.30 (Luke Alexander)
8. 8th place, 3200, 11:11.21 (Logan Rimkus)

The boys team finished the meet with a 5th place finish in the 4×400 relay, 3:49.59 (junior Sam Hendricks, senior Nick Brown, senior Luke Alexander, senior Nathaniel Geiss).

Shout out to Sam Hendricks who ran his PR in the 1600, with a time of 5:03.11, and Luke McCarty who reached his PR with a throw of 72-10 in the discus.

Overall, the boys team finished in 8th place out of 14 teams.

Warriors, way to brave the elements and finish another successful long track meet!! Congrats to those runners, throwers, and jumpers who set new PR’s. The Warriors will compete next at Cedarville University on Saturday morning. Go Warriors!
