Offensively, the Warriors used smart baserunning and put pressure on the opposing defense to score 7 runs in the 2nd inning on 4 hits. Sophomore Justin Lotter executed a perfect squeeze bunt with Junior Luke Carnegis breaking for home on the pitch, and junior Naaman Anderkin hit a triple to deep right field in the big inning.
Carnegis finished with 2 hits, 2 runs scored, and 2 runs batted in. Lotter also drove in 2 runs while sophomore Nate Scanlon stole 3 bases and scored 2 runs.
The Warriors have a busy week coming up with 4 games scheduled in 5 days. On Monday, the Warriors host Carlisle High School at Honaker Field. On Tuesday, DC returns to league play with Legacy Christian Academy at Athletes in Action and Thursday the same two teams play at Dayton Christian. Finally, Friday the Warriors travel to New Madison for a non-league game at Tri-Village High School.
