After several lead changes throughout the first three quarters, the Warriors found themselves all knotted at 30 heading into the final period against a feisty Middletown Christian squad. Fortunately for the second game in a row, Jake Deason caught fire from beyond the arc, nailing 3 of his 4 second half three pointers in the fourth quarter to allow the varsity DC boys to finally pull away from the upset-minded Eagles. Seth Griswold also hit a clutch fourth quarter three and Brady Woodall, Devin Dreier and Luke Thompson all sunk free throws down the stretch as the Warriors outscored the Eagles 21-11 in the final 8 minutes to post a 51-41 conference victory. Deason and Isaiah Edwards both finished with 12 points each and Griswold added 11 points to lead the scoring for DC. The Warriors complete the regular season with a respectable third place finish in the Metro Buckeye Conference with an 11-3 record and 14-8 overall. The Warriors head into state tournament play next week to face Greenview on Thursday 2/20 at 6PM at Vandalia Butler high school. Presale tickets are available in the DC Athletic Office. Go Warriors!
