The DC varsity boys basketball season came to a close this evening at the hands of Preble Shawnee. The Warriors were unable to keep pace with the red hot shooting Indians falling 64-35 in the second round of the OSHAA state tournament. Despite the Indians being up by as many as 14 points in the first half, the Warriors were able to close within 6 points early in the third quarter. Unfortunately the Indians went on a run and never looked back to punch their ticket to the next round. Isaiah Edwards led the Warriors scoring with 14 points, followed by Seth Griswold (7), Jon Welker (5), Devin Dreier (4), Brady Woodall (3) and Evan Demoray (2). Despite the loss, the Warriors had a very successful season, finishing third in the Metro Buckeye Conference with an 11-3 record and 15-9 overall which includes a first round state tournament win over fifth-seeded Greenview. Go Warriors!
