The varsity cross country teams spent their Saturday morning racing at Buck Creek State Park in the Northeastern Jim Murray Memorial Cross Country Invitational. Both of the girls and boys teams finished 15th overall.
Brooke Tesmer led the girls team with a 105th overall finish in 24:21 for 5,000 meters. Next for the girls team was Alexa England (144th) in 25:58, then Anna Hendricks (172nd) in 27:26, Isabelle Blatz was the Warriors 4th team finisher in (186th) 28:25, and Rebecca Skujins rounded out the team score (191st) in 28:46. Eleanore McDaniel finished (211th) with a time of 31:36.
On the boys side, Rhett Bailey led the team running 18:33 for 5k (67th overall place). Nathan Childs ran 18:49 for 89th place. Next Warrior finisher was, Nathaniel Geiss in 146th place in a time of 19:43. Sam Hendricks was 149th finishing in 19:44, Sam Reynolds was 173rd in 20:04, followed by Jonathan Williams (204th) in 20:21, Andrew Bletzinger (241st) in 20:53 and Jon Welker in 272nd with a time of 21:26 for 5,000 meters.
Sam Orme continued the Warriors finishers in 315th for 22:14, Mitchell DeBusk in 22:50, Andrew Haines in 23:09, and Ethan Ishmael in 26:06. Cori Campbell was next in 26:08, and Logan Rohrer in 28:45.
The Warriors look now to their next race on Oct. 6 at Fort St. Clair State Park.
